About the Author

Blake Murri is a retired nuclear engineer and rocket scientist who spent most of his career as an engineer/manager working for a major defense contractor in the Denver area. Immediately following retirement, Blake and his wife went to Okinawa, Japan, where they served as short-term missionaries to our men and women in uniform.
Blake is a long-serving member and elder in his church, where he regularly helps with facility maintenance. He’s a member of his church’s Master’s Men, who do various projects for widows, single moms, and elderly in the community. For several years, Blake has led his church, in coordination with Habitat for Humanity and Help Build Hope, in a family-friendly project to build house frames in the church parking lot. Those frames are used for housing developments in lower–income neighborhoods in the Denver area.
Blake loves the outdoors, where he enjoys hunting, fishing, and hiking. He and his wife have three children and four grandchildren, with whom they spend as much time as possible.
